Isaac Business Services is a Business Startup Company. Our sole purpose is to help the aspiring entrepreneur build a business model around his/her dreams. We also help existing businesses starting something new in business and restructuring their current business models. We work hands-on with start-ups to write realistic business plans, and we stay with them to ensure that their business plans work. Plus, we take care of the “burdensome” business start-up paperwork that overwhelms new business owners.
Our Mission: To create a level playing field that equips every aspiring entrepreneur, start-up or small business owner with the necessary tools and advisors needed in order to create unique and viable business models.
How it Works
Once you become a client, we meet monthly to discuss your business progress. We brainstorm different methods, and complete industry analysis for you. Through business sessions and questionnaires, we are able to transfer your vision from your head to a business plan for you. We complete a professionally formatted business plan for you. Then once a quarter, we meet again to compare notes and re-work your business plan. Your business plan is then updated to match your business progress.
The Difference
Once you work with us, you get our team of experts to assist you. We stay with clients for up to a year to ensure that their models work. Our clients don’t just pay for unrealistic business plans, they pay for a business planning process and business advisors—the nicely written business plan is simply “the icing on the cake.” We don’t believe in static business plans and we don’t promote business plans only for those seeking funding. We sincerely believe in the business planning process and we know that everyone needs a business plan. So we’ve created a support system to help new businesses. Our clients get advice from attorneys, accountants, and bankers.
The Isaac Business Services Story
- Early 2000s: The Founder of Isaac Business Services, Cheryl Isaac, worked as a banker and helped small businesses develop their business through banking services and bank funding. She would talk to startups and business owners about separation of personal and business credit, about ways to enhance personal credit, and about options to grow a business through the bank. She reviewed business plans, gave businesses pointers on how to structure their models uniquely, pitched business ideas to bank underwriters and helped small businesses obtain bank funding.
- Early 2007: While still working her full-time job as a banker, Cheryl found herself helping her husband with his Start-up Law Firm. Throughout this process, she learned that if an attorney could struggle with making a transition from career to entrepreneurship, most people would have a problem doing the same. The Isaac Firm became her first client. She did the business planning for The Isaac Firm and when her husband started his business, he had a bank loan, a location, and an indication of what he needed to do in order to be successful. The idea for Isaac Business Services was then born.
- Fall 2007: Isaac Business Services is started as a small division of The Isaac Firm.
- Early 2008: Isaac Business Services becomes its own entity and gets its first location to accommodate meetings and training.
- Fall 2008: The Isaac Firm & Isaac Business Services outgrow their facilities and relocate to another one within the same office complex. The Isaac Firm then includes business law in its service offering; in addition to Employment law and Workers’ Compensation. Isaac Business Services’ clients are now able to get personalized legal attention.
- Fall 2008: After observing and surveying clients, Cheryl gets the idea for a virtual platform offering personal business planning; and starts the business plan for that venture.
- Early 2009: Cheryl Isaac starts putting her plan into effect—to offer a modified version of her personalized business planning services virtually.
- Summer 2009: Isaac Business Services and The Isaac Firm outgrow their second location and move to downtown Columbus. This location allows them to offer business continuing education in a training facility, legal assistance to people wrongfully displaced from their place of employment and to people starting a business, small business Human Resources & Legal training, business seminars, and monthly business planning.
