I’ve worn this model of Asics running shoe since it absolutely was the 2080. i believed it could not reclaim and then there was the 2090, the 2100, and currently the 2110. it is a nice all around shoe that gives sensible support. I wore this shoe for the last half-dozen marathons that I’ve ran and it’s never let me down. it is a affordable weight, and is comfy out of the box, particularly for folks with high arches. My solely grievance is that they’ll wear out a trifle too quickly on the within of the shoe close to the ball of the foot.

In Olympic Year, Asics Sets Sights On Europe
Watch for Japanese sports conglom Asics , known mainly for its sneakers, to kick into a faster pace as we near the London Summer Olympics.
Traditionally, the company has lagged far behind Adidas and Nike, paying little on sponsoring athletes for brand promotion. According to WSJ , for the fiscal year ended March 2011, Asics had annual sales of about $3.03 billion, as opposed to Nike and Adidas with sales of $20.86 billion and $15.82 billion. But in the nine months to September, Asics’s net sales in Europe were up 13.2% year-on-year, and outperformed the overall market, according to NPD Sports Tracking Europe market data.
Those figures are only expected to improve, should everything go according to the company’s big pre- Games commercial push across Europe.
“The tiger stripes” of Asics’s logo “are well known as the best running shoes,” Asics’ head of Eurpean operations tells WSJ. “But not everyone knows they are Asics shoes.” True, in fact, Asics has been quietly involved with the Olympics since the 1960s, first assisting wins during the 1964 Tokyo Olympics for the Japanese volleyball team and Ethiopian runner Abebe Bikila. Now, if only those tiger stripes can get the name recognition of the Nike swoosh or the Adidas stripes.
